Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Insight on the Word

Satan attempts to use many weapons against us. Indeed Paul warns us to: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11)

One of his greatest weapons is that of accusation! For we are told that there is coming a day when: “…the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” (Revelation 12:10) But that day is not yet. Until then we have a task to do. We are told: “every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.” We are not to entertain or accept the false accusations of the Devil when he tires to deceive us, tear us down and destroy us.

This task is not impossible at all for we have been given might weapons that put the Devil to flight. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;” (2 Corinthians 10:4) We are simply to cast “down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

As we fight this fight of faith, being fully submitted to God, we have the assurance from God’s Word: “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

Be convinced from the Word of God, all of our weapons are mighty and pull down strong holds yet Satan’s weapons do not prosper against us! Truly: “If God be for us, who can be against us? “ (Romans 8:31)

Speak the Word — No weapon formed against me shall prosper! (Isaiah 54:17)
